Exploring Innovations in Urban Logistics: SENATOR at TRA 2024

The SENATOR project will be presented by Correos on April 16th in Dublin, alongside other CIVITAS projects

The SENATOR project will actively participate on April 16th, from 9:45 to 11:00, at the Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2024. This international conference focuses on transportation and mobility research. Held biennially by the European Commission, TRA gathers experts worldwide, including researchers, policymakers, industry representatives, and civil society, to discuss and exchange the latest advancements in transportation.

Moreover, TRA 2024 is happening this year in Dublin, Ireland. It’s a platform to showcase research projects, discuss transportation policies, and explore new mobility solutions. Ángela Nuñez Gonzalez, the SENATOR project coordinator from Correos, will offer valuable insights into SENATOR’s journey, highlighting our experiences, successes, and lessons learned in urban logistics.

Join us for Special Session 2.3, titled “Innovation in Urban Logistics: Public and Private Sectors Thriving Together,” where SENATOR will be featured alongside Civitas Initiative partners, including the URBANE Project, DISCO Project, GREEN-LOG Project, LEAD Project,  and DECARBOMILE Project.

This session promises insightful discussions and collaborative efforts as we explore innovative solutions for zero-emission urban freight transport. Together, we aim to foster a shared vision for sustainable urban transportation.

In the face of unprecedented challenges, a proactive approach is essential to address future urban logistics challenges. EU-funded R&I projects, including SENATOR, have engaged with city authorities, logistics service providers, and innovation developers to establish living labs. Furthermore, these living labs serve as dynamic environments where businesses and cities collaborate, utilizing innovative solutions such as digital twins, the Physical Internet, and zero-emission vehicles to enhance efficiency and achieve zero-emission freight transport.
